Project Pix 2

The Crib
Made of pine with birch rockers, another one of those wing it jobs for one of my grandsons.
He rejected it, then his brother came along and he jumped at it , it was either that or throw out the socks and underwear and bed him down in a bureau drawer.

Corner Entertainment Center
A vague idea that blossomed. The unit was constructed of butternut with smoked glass in the windows and was built to accept a 25” TV. There are pockets either side of the VCR for tapes. The panels were all made from 6” wide stock and edge to edge dowel jointed. It was a true test for my small table saw to handle the 22 1/2 and 45 degree angles between panels.
I had to use strap clamps to force unit together for final assembly so no gaps would show. It took over a month of evenings to build and ate up about 75 sq. Ft of wood.

Curio Shelf
This shelf is one of my first projects again made of butternut.
This was an off the cuff idea for something different, the spindle railings seemed to work OK , I now build them into a projects that will that will look good with them.

The shelf sort of grew up and I used some of the design for a microwave shelf, first in the motorhome , which worked well, I then made another for the kitchen and also a garbage can holder that balanced off that particular area.
Shown on right.
