Gettin the most outta what you got !

I believe this may be a one of a kind, like how many electrical cutouts can you make with one of these, I ran out of walls so I could’nt do any more. I decided to exploit the possibilities and came up with a semi router / plungerouter.
Should you wish to attempt this endeavor, Listen up and pay attention !!
I used one of those things that used to turn a drill into a drill press, they are just a tad on the shaky side, but they work, picked it up at a flea market for 5 bucks.
Make sure that rotary tool is lashed down tight, and I mean tight.

Had to hone out bottom to fit rotary tool snug , then used stainless rad hose clamp to hold top . Check router bit is Tightened in collet , Wear Safety Glasses this baby can spit out chunks of wood faster then 28 inches of vacuum can suck em up. If you are not sure of stability of unit maybe consider a bullet proof vest or a flack jacket , or just quit while you are ahead. I f under control, is great for small routering jobs.

I guess nows the time to give you some detail of my homemade lathe , So there I was ready to go , even bought a new set of chisels for 15 bucks , Lathe had a direct drive motor off an old washing machine , cranking out 1800 rpm.
I hit the switch and that 26 inch piece of 2 x 2 ( wanna be spindle ) drifted past my friggin ear doin about 40 miles an hour and stuck in the ceiling .
Well now I said to myself, “ that was rather rude “ . Next step Plan B , stuck one of those sanding “ Work Wheels “ in chuck , makes a great sander , now I just buy those shrink wrapped packs of 2 spindles and get on with the program.
Anybody need a set of chisels , they are yours , glad I never bought the good ones.
